Consignor
The consignor is the owner who hands a watch to a dealer to sell on their behalf under a consignment arrangement. The dealer receiving it is sometimes called the consignee.
The consignor keeps ownership until the watch sells, so the dealer is responsible for looking after it and for paying out as agreed. That makes clear terms essential: the payout, the minimum price, how long you'll hold it, and who carries the risk of loss or damage.
Record the consignor's identity and the watch's details at intake just as you would for a purchase.
