Intake record
Also called intake log
An intake record is a dealer's own record of each watch taken into stock, capturing the watch, its serial and condition, what came with it, the seller, the deal, and the checks performed.
It serves several purposes at once: it satisfies most local recordkeeping rules, supports your tax records, protects you if a watch is later questioned, and gives you the details you need when you list it for sale.
Complete it the same way for every watch, including photos, at the moment the watch arrives.
