GMT
Also called GMT function, dual time
A GMT watch shows a second time zone, usually with an extra hand that goes around the dial once a day, often read against a twenty-four-hour bezel or chapter ring.
GMT models are popular with travellers and are a staple of the sports-watch market. Some let the local hour hand be set independently, which is especially convenient for frequent travel.
When testing one, check that the GMT hand sets correctly and stays aligned with the main hands, and that any rotating bezel moves as it should.
