Dive watch

Also called divers' watch, diver's watch

A dive watch is a watch built for underwater use. The international standard for divers' watches, ISO 6425, covers watches designed to withstand diving to at least one hundred metres with a secured way of showing diving time that is visible in darkness.[1]

In practice, the term is also used loosely for sports watches with a rotating bezel. Genuine dive watches are among the most traded references in the pre-owned market.

As with any water-resistant watch, a pre-owned dive watch should be pressure-tested before it's used in water.
