Unpolished
Unpolished describes a watch whose case and bracelet have never been refinished, so they still carry the original factory edges and finishes, along with whatever scratches and wear the watch has picked up.
For collectible and vintage references, an honest unpolished case is often worth more than a polished one, because it shows the watch as it was made. Buyers will look closely at the lugs, bevels, and case sides to confirm it.
