Service parts
Also called replacement parts
Service parts are genuine components, such as hands, bezels, crowns, crystals, or dials, fitted by the manufacturer or a service centre to replace the originals during repair or servicing.
For a modern watch that's worn every day, service parts are normal and often a positive: the watch has been maintained with genuine components. For collectible and vintage pieces, replaced parts can reduce value because buyers want the watch as it was made.
Ask for the service paperwork and whether any original parts came back with the watch. Record which parts are original and which were replaced in your intake notes.
