Service history

Also called service records

Service history is the record of when and where a watch has been serviced, what was done, and which parts were replaced, usually shown through receipts or service cards.

A documented, recent service can make a watch easier to sell, because the buyer isn't pricing in an unknown repair. It also tells you, as the buyer, which parts are original and which were replaced, which matters for collectible pieces.

Keep service paperwork with the watch's records and pass copies on at sale. A service you can't document is worth much less as a selling point.
