TUDOR M35800-0001 vs TUDOR M91560-0001

10 published specifications differ between these two, and 3 are identical. Every figure below is what the manufacturer states for that reference; nothing is inferred from the other watch.

What is identical

Worth knowing as much as the differences: these are the specifications you cannot use to tell the two apart.

Stated for one, not the other

These rows cannot be compared, because one maker publishes the figure and the other does not. An empty cell is a gap in the manufacturer's documentation, not a gap in the watch — and not a licence to fill it in from the other column.

What the differences cost you

Each note below follows from the published figures in the tables above — what they mean for intake, for a listing, and for the handover. Nothing here estimates a price or a margin.

These reach different buyers

39 mm on the M91560-0001 against 34 mm on the M35800-0001. Diameter is a poor predictor of how a watch actually sits, but it is the field buyers filter on, so the two land in front of different people. Do not let one listing's photographs or copy stand in for the other.

Different movements to verify and to service

The M35800-0001 runs the Calibre T601 and the M91560-0001 the Calibre T607-9. Two consequences at intake: the service history that is normal for one calibre is not evidence about the other, and the calibre is the check that catches a movement swapped into the wrong case. Confirm the movement matches the reference rather than assuming it from the dial.

What to check on each

M35800-0001

  • Quote the calibre as T601 and the reserve as approximately 38 hours. TUDOR does not call this a Manufacture movement and lists no COSC certification, unlike most of the references documented here.
  • Expect it to stop after a day and a half off the wrist, and tell the buyer so, because thirty-eight hours is far short of the seventy most of the range carries.
  • Inspect the blue spinel cabochon in the crown for chips and confirm it is seated. It is a set stone in a working, screw-down component.

M91560-0001

  • Read the calibre before you quote anything. T607-9 is not a manufacture MT-series movement, carries no stated certification, and runs about 38 hours — roughly half what the sports references hold.
  • Set the moon phase through a full cycle and check the disc steps cleanly without sticking or overshooting. Correcting a moon phase is fiddly, and a faulty one is a service visit rather than an adjustment.
  • Avoid adjusting the moon phase while the calendar mechanism is engaged, and check the seller has not already damaged it by doing so — forcing a correction during the change-over window is the usual cause of failure.
