What the differences cost you

Each note below follows from the published figures in the tables above — what they mean for intake, for a listing, and for the handover. Nothing here estimates a price or a margin.

Where a shared listing template goes wrong

These two differ on case, thickness, lug to lug, lug width and bracelet. None of it changes how either watch is handled, but all of it changes what the listing has to say. Copy from one to the other and those are the fields that end up describing the wrong watch.

What to check on each

T1274071109101

  • Quote the balance spring correctly. Tissot specifies a patented silicon balance spring for this reference and a patented Nivachron spring for the PRX and Seastar references, and the two are different materials.
  • Measure the lug width before promising a strap change. Twenty-one millimetres is an uncommon size and a buyer expecting to fit a 20 or 22 mm strap will be disappointed.
  • Check this page lists no quick-release option, unlike several other Tissot references documented here, so a strap change here means spring bars and a tool.

T1374071109100

  • Treat the bracelet as part of the case. At a published 12 mm lug width on a 40 mm watch, this is an integrated design and a damaged or missing bracelet is not solved by fitting a strap from the drawer.
  • Record the bracelet reference T605046447 and check it against the watch. Bracelets are model-specific here and a bracelet from another PRX will not sit correctly.
  • Work the butterfly clasp repeatedly and check both sides latch. A butterfly clasp hides its mechanism inside the bracelet, so it is rarely inspected and its springs carry the whole weight.
